Bordeaux: Walking tour

Time: 14.30
Meeting point: Palais de la Bourse

Discover Bordeaux with a private walking tour of the main attractions. Described by UNESCO World Heritage as “an inhabited historic city, an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble,” Bordeaux’s wine producers, together with the great Enlightenment philosophers, influenced the city’s planning to produce a harmonious setting of theatres, town halls, and private mansions interspersed with squares, parks, fountains and inspiring perspectives. Today, Bordeaux is undergoing a spectacular metamorphosis with several economic and artistic projects.

From the wide avenues of neo-classical neighborhoods surrounding the Quinconces and the Grand Theatre to the narrow lanes of the Saint-Pierre neighborhood, the tour will make you discover the diversity of the heritage of Bordeaux.

Cité du Vin

Departure with a private transfer at the end of the walking tour and visit of a unique venue for culture and recreation where the wine comes to life through an immersive, sensorial approach, all set within an evocative architectural design. La Cité du Vin gives a different view of wine, across the world, across the ages, across all cultures and all civilizations.

Test your senses, widen your tasting perspective and take part in the exclusive themed wine-tasting workshops, including a multi-sensory area.

At the end of the visit, do not miss the four themed visits designed for those who want to learn more about how wine is produced and discover its secrets.

Les Halles de Bacalan

Time: 19.30
Address: 10 Quai de Bacalan
Meeting point: the Restaurant is located just in front of the Citè du Vin.

The market kitchen at Le Familia - Brasserie des Halles is a popular new chic gourmet brasserie in Les Halles de Bacalan, in memory of the bar/restaurant/cinema of the same name which thrived in the district’s golden era from 1929 to 1972.
